| Most British people have not heard of Eilat - one of the best winter sunshine holiday destinations. It has Caribbean temperatures without Caribbean prices. No timeshare touts or beggar louts and only a short haul flight away from the UK, 2 hours GMT so there's no jet lag. The Israelis come here for their holidays in June to August when the temperature tops 100°F while we enjoyed winter temperatures (February) in the 80's.
During this time the half-empty sandy beaches and the warm calm unpolluted tropical Red Sea is a paradise for the all the family. And it is safe to come here too! You are probably more at risk from terrorism in London than in Eilat. Our apartment, the Maisie room, was clean and spacious with the same facilitates you get in a decent hotel room but at a fraction of the cost. Villa Kibel located in an upmarket villa area. We very much enjoyed our holidays, especially because the nice apartment with its terrace was perfect for having our 20 months old daughter with us. We will definitely try to stay there again next time in Eilat since the nearby shops and the walking distance to the beach, but really calm Peres St. neighborhood, make this place a much better choice than staying at some anonymous beach hotel block. The apartment we rented from you was great. It made our stay in Eilat feel a bit more like home, with the clean towels, fresh sheets, and well-equipped kitchen. Plus the apartment was a quick walk from the heart of the city and the beach. It was a pleasure doing "business" with you. Not only did you respond to my early email inquiries in a timely manner, you were also easily accessible once we arrived in Eilat. I look forward to renting a place from you next time I'm in Eilat. | We had a good trip home. Our journey from Eilat to Tel Aviv was great. We have never traveled that route before and especially Mitzpe Ramon and the road to it were impressive and it was a smooth drive.
Our stay in Eilat was wonderful. Our apartment had everything we could ask for, so we can certainly recommend it! | In the fluctuating community of visiting scientists working at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beer Sheva it is a well established fact that Villa Kibel, 18 Peres St. in Eilat in Israel, owned and run by Russell and Michelle Kibel is a highly recommended place to get away from the rat race, to relax and to enjoy the view across Eilat and the Gulf of Aqaba.
It is a quiet place, it has trees and green plants in its surroundings and it can be reached easily on foot from the beach and from the center of town. A well stocked supermarket is close by. The apartment in which my wife and I spent a few days in January 1999 was spacious, well kept, equipped with very comfortable beds, and a clean bathroom. The cooking facilities were very good. We had a comfortable place to sit on the terrace. All this was available for a very fair price including transportation with our luggage from and to the bus station. Thanks Russell! Gila, Aryeh and I would like to thank you for your accommodation during our enjoyable week in Eilat. We found your place very comfortable and quiet. The view is beautiful and the kitchenette enabled us to eat kosher without having to go out for every meal. Aryeh enjoyed your crib, thank you, and especially having all the space to crawl around outside in the beautiful Eilat weather. He was especially interested in your fluffy cat which kept its distance much to his disappointment.
