Founded in 1977, The House is one the oldest established Chinese restaurants in Israel.
Set in a shady garden hewn from the basalt hillside overlooking the Lido Beach Compound, there is a splendid biblical view of the Sea of Galilee and the Mountains of Golan. Housed in a charming thick-walled 19th Century stone building, surrounded by lush greenery, the restaurant offers a fare of classic Chinese cuisine. Among the many famous visitors to The House was writer John le Carre who mentioned it as being "an excellent Chinese Restaurant". The editor of the World Press Review has written that The House is, "one of the best Chinese restaurants in the world". The House is open on Friday evenings and on Saturdays. |
