3 LIDO HISTORY GROWTH
Together, Esther & Eitan renovated the old Lido building. The rocky shoreline was dressed with lawn and on weekends the family and many friends came to share and enjoy the tranquility of this shady spot, to relax, to swim, to sail, to fish and to picnic. Visiting tourists and pilgrims also helped to spread the word... What had started as a hobby, eventually turned into a thriving and expanding business. Esther and Eitan always made sure that all who came to the Lido were made welcome and had an enjoyable time. Boats were commissioned, restaurants and docking facilities were built. Regardless of the endless work and long hours, Lido Beach has always remained a labor of love for Eitan and Esther Gross and their two children, Tsachi & Vered - a true family business. Recently, Eitan and Esther decided to ease off a little with their work though they still visit daily. Fortunately, a new generation has grown up and today Lido Beach is managed mainly by their two children Tsachi and Vered. Today Lido Beach is home to five topnotch onshore restaurants, a fleet of modern cruise boats, all with their own kitchen facilities and onboard staff. Attractive traditional wooden boats ferry pilgrims across the Sea of Galilee, to and from Capernaum and other pilgrimage and historical sites on the lake. Recognition: In 1998, The Lido were chosen among the top 25 tourist operations in Israel to receive the prestigious Fifty Year Jubilee - "Distinguished Promoter of Tourism Award". |
